Project Responsibilities
Reporting to the QA/QC Manager, your main focus will be supporting construction activities on a major EPCM project for a key client. You will also support Wood’s three-pillar strategy of Inspired Culture, Delivery Excellence, and Profitable Growth.

Team and Project Management
In this site-based role, you will manage technical, team, client, and project leadership. At the same time, you will focus on strong relationships and effective project delivery. You will also anticipate project needs beyond the immediate scope.
In addition, you will:
- Review the overall QA/QC system setup.
- Ensure QC plans and ITPs are in place, reviewed, and agreed.
- Review WPS, PQR, and welding performance reports.
- Witness welder tests.
- Monitor the Welder Continuity Log for compliance with standards.
- Review fabrication shop and field welding quality.
- Review NDE and PWHT activities and records.
- Interpret welding queries for compliance with ASME and AWS Codes / Specifications.
- Review coating specifications and procedures.
- Review the qualifications of operatives and the implementation of coating procedures.
- Review the qualifications of coating inspectors and the implementation of inspection processes.
- Provide construction proposal specification reviews.
- Audit field construction projects for compliance with the organisation’s Quality System.
- Recommend corrective actions for field deviations.
- Proactively support the project team with assigned project work as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Diploma degree in a related field.
- Knowledge of all construction phase activities for both small and large projects.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in field welding QC and coating systems.
- CSWIP or AWS Certified Welding Inspector certification. NDE certifications are preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of ASME and AWS Codes / Specifications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good coordination with all disciplines.
