Responsibilities
- Register and update patient information accurately in hospital systems such as iPM and FirstNet
- Manage patient admissions, records, and documentation in line with policies and confidentiality standards
- Provide professional frontline administrative and communication support
- Liaise with medical staff, nurses, management, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth patient care delivery
- Arrange services such as interpreters, ambulance transport, and hospital transfers
- Handle financial transactions including patient charges and maintain cash handling procedures
- Maintain accurate filing, data entry, and record management
Requirements
- Ability to work a 24/7 rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
- Previous experience in a hospital or medical administrative environment (preferred)
- Strong understanding of confidentiality and healthcare procedures
- Eligibility to work in Australia (as per visa or residency requirements)
