Responsibilities
As a Poultry Farm Worker, you will support daily farm operations and contribute to efficient and ethical poultry production. Key responsibilities include:
- Walking through poultry sheds to monitor birds and maintain farm standards.
- Collecting, grading, and packing eggs.
- Cleaning and sanitizing sheds and equipment.
- Performing general farm maintenance and operational tasks.
- Adhering to strict biosecurity and animal welfare guidelines.
- Following workplace health and safety protocols at all times.
- Working collaboratively with experienced team members.
- Completing tasks as directed by supervisors.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- No prior experience required; full training is provided.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.
- Availability for casual work with variable weekly hours.
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
- Ability to work in rural locations between Warwick and Toowoomba, including Killarney and Laidley.
- Compliance with strict biosecurity regulations.
- Candidates must not own or live with individuals who own poultry, birds, or pigs, or work at other poultry or pig farms.
- Ability to work in environments that may be dusty, noisy, and odorous.
