Responsibilities

As a Welder at FieldCore, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings for accurate execution of welding tasks.
  • Cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components and piping with precision.
  • Performing welding joints in accordance with welding procedures and safety standards.
  • Using hand grinders, heating torches (oxy-acetylene, gas, propane), and other tools to prepare and finish welds.
  • Ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained at all times.
  • Reviewing and complying with quality documents as required.
  • Operating jacking fixtures, porta power, cranes, and forklifts safely.
  • Traveling extensively for domestic and international field assignments.
  • Working flexible hours, including holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned to support FieldCore’s goals and vision.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Compliance with ISO certification requirements.
  • Welding experience in power generation (gas/steam turbines) and associated auxiliary equipment preferred.
  • English proficiency.
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally and domestically.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime.

Skills and Desired Knowledge

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Basic to intermediate welding skills, including TIG welding experience.
  • Experience in welding and grinding turbine components.
  • Ability to operate heating torches, grinders, and field equipment safely.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of field operations.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects within deadlines.
  • Positive attitude, ambition, and willingness to learn in a trainee or trial position.
