Responsibilities

As a Van Driver, you will play an important role in supporting residents’ independence and enjoyment through safe and friendly transportation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the safe and comfortable transportation of residents and others using the village van
  • Providing a welcoming, helpful, and friendly experience for all passengers
  • Ensuring all outings are enjoyable and well-organized
  • Maintaining a strong focus on health and safety, including passenger safety, road regulations, speed control, and vehicle upkeep
  • Working closely with colleagues to support village operations
  • Representing the village in a professional and caring manner at all times

Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Current, clean New Zealand Driver’s Licence
  • Current P-Endorsed Licence or willingness to obtain one (support provided)
  • Legal right to work in New Zealand
  • Availability to work the specified part-time schedule
  • Ability to work reliably and responsibly with older residents
