Responsibilities

As a Process Project Engineer, your key responsibilities include:

  • Providing process engineering for water and wastewater treatment systems in industrial plants such as oil refining, petrochemicals, power, and hydrogen facilities
  • Designing water/wastewater treatment systems and developing P&IDs (Process and Instrumentation Diagrams)
  • Preparing engineering documents and system designs based on customer specifications
  • Collaborating with the design team to produce drawings and documents for customer approval and manufacturing
  • Communicating technical details with clients, suppliers, manufacturers, and sales teams
  • Managing engineering deliverables, schedules, and cost optimization within project timelines
  • Supporting commissioning, start-up, and performance testing at project sites
  • Participating in new product and technology development projects as required

Requirements

Candidates for this role should meet the following requirements:

  • 10–15 years of experience as a project engineer or manager in water or wastewater treatment projects
  • Experience in project scope, schedule, budget, and risk management
  • Ability to read and interpret P&ID, GA, manufacturing drawings, and electrical/instrumentation diagrams
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D)
  • Effective business-level English communication skills (oral and written)
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with global projects or international collaboration
  • Familiarity with project management software (MS Project, Primavera)
  • Experience with ERP/project management systems (Epicor, D365, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with commissioning, start-up, and performance testing
