Responsibilities
As a Farm Attendant, your main responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and feeding prawns and conducting regular health checks
- Reporting any concerns about prawn health or farm operations
- Performing general maintenance of ponds, equipment, and farm facilities
- Accurately recording farm data using iPads to track prawn growth and conditions
- Working safely and efficiently as part of a team to achieve production goals
- Upholding Tassal’s Zero Harm safety culture in all daily activities
Requirements
- Comfortable working outdoors in hot, humid, and wet conditions (including wading in ponds)
- Physical fitness for manual labor and outdoor work
- Attention to detail for monitoring prawn health and maintaining accurate records
- Valid driver’s license (manual preferred) and reliable transport to the site
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including days, nights, and weekends
- Team player with a strong safety-first mindset
- Legal right to work in Australia
