Responsibilities
As a Dairy Farm Assistant, you will be involved in all aspects of day-to-day dairy farm operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with milking operations and shed management
- Supporting calving, feeding, and stock movements
- Assisting with animal health and welfare management
- Carrying out effluent management, spraying, and fencing tasks
- Supporting mating plans and herd management activities
- Operating farm machinery and equipment as required
- Working collaboratively with the farm team to ensure smooth operations
- Following health, safety, and animal welfare standards at all times
Requirements
To be eligible for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Availability for an in-person interview
- Unrestricted legal right to work in New Zealand
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test and criminal background check
- Current New Zealand restricted or full driver’s licence
