Responsibilities
The Care Technician is responsible for preventive maintenance and upkeep of guest rooms and hotel spaces. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing scheduled preventive maintenance in guest rooms, meeting rooms, and public areas.
- Inspecting and maintaining beds, mattresses, box springs, and furniture hardware.
- Cleaning behind and under furniture, spot-cleaning carpets and upholstery, and dusting surfaces.
- Conducting touch-up painting, furniture repairs, and replacing light fixtures.
- Inspecting, repairing, and maintaining grout and caulking in guest bathrooms.
- Carrying out minor repairs such as tightening fixtures, replacing bulbs, and patching walls.
- Cleaning guestroom surfaces including tubs, tiles, floors, windows, mirrors, and walls.
- Reporting serious maintenance issues, unusual findings, or safety hazards immediately.
- Following Lockout/Tagout, safety, and security procedures at all times.
- Assisting guests professionally and anticipating service needs in line with brand standards.
- Supporting team members and maintaining positive working relationships.
Requirements
Candidates applying for the Care Technician position should meet the following requirements:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Less than one year of related maintenance or facilities experience.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work full-time on-site in a luxury hospitality environment.
