Responsibilities
As a Driver, your key responsibilities will include:
- Operating assigned vehicles to transport cargo, containers, and equipment within the terminal
- Following all port authority safety regulations and internal driving protocols
- Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs promptly
- Coordinating with supervisors and ground teams for efficient cargo movement
- Maintaining accurate records of trips, mileage, and cargo handling
- Ensuring safe operation of vehicles to protect personnel, cargo, and infrastructure
- Supporting additional operational tasks as required by the terminal team
Requirements
Candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Valid Singapore Class 3 or Class 4 driving licence
- Prior experience in port, logistics, or heavy industrial environments (preferred)
- Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- Physically fit and capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of vehicle inspection procedures
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English
