Responsibilities
As a Special Education Teacher, you will:
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for children with special needs
- Deliver tailored lessons that address developmental and learning objectives
- Assess the developmental and academic progress of students
- Foster communication, social, and self-help skills
- Collaborate with specialists including speech and occupational therapists
- Build a supportive, inclusive, and positive learning environment
- Adapt teaching strategies to suit individual student needs and developmental levels
- Balance a hybrid schedule with both on-site and remote responsibilities
Requirements
- Expertise in Special Education and experience with children with disabilities
- Relevant qualifications, such as a degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Development, or a related field
- Proficiency in teaching, with experience in middle school or similar educational settings preferred
- Strong communication skills for interacting with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Passion for supporting and nurturing children with diverse learning needs
- Familiarity with evidence-based teaching methodologies in special education is a plus
