Responsibilities
As a Cashier, you will maintain the checkout area and deliver exceptional customer service. Key responsibilities include:
Customer Service:
- Provide friendly, professional service and engage positively with all customers.
- Maintain a neat and organized checkout area.
- Greet customers warmly and assist with product inquiries.
- Accurately scan or enter product data and process transactions.
- Account for cash, coupons, lottery tickets, and PC Optimum points correctly.
- Request customers’ PC Optimum Cards for each transaction.
Merchandising:
- Complete proper documentation for customer receipts and returns.
- Maintain designated areas with proper facing, labeling, and signing of products.
Loss Prevention:
- Follow loss prevention standards and procedures.
- Control cash, lottery, and stamp inventory.
General:
- Present a professional image in accordance with company dress code and uniform policy.
- Comply with health and safety regulations and all store policies.
- Maintain housekeeping and store image standards.
- Perform other duties as required to support store operations.
