Responsibilities

As a Shipping Assistant, you will:

  • Process import and export customs permits for warehouse goods.
  • Handle duty payment permits for local domestic sales.
  • Liaise with customs officers regarding shipment arrivals and departures.
  • Ensure accuracy of information applied in customs permits.
  • Update customers on the status of shipments.
  • Coordinate cheque requisitions to shipping carriers with the Finance division.
  • Arrange prompt customs clearance with third-party service providers.
  • Collaborate with internal customers for goods receipt and release.

Requirements

  • GCE ‘O’ Level, GCE ‘A’ Level, Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Business Studies, Administration Management, Logistics/Transportation, or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in the logistics industry (preferred).
  • Certificate of Customs Competency Test for Declarants by Singapore Customs (added advantage).
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and Warehouse Management System (WMS)/Exceed system.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Strong administrative and communication skills.
  • Willingness to perform overtime when required.
