Blackedge Consulting is seeking a highly experienced Senior Site Civil Engineer to join its Infrastructure team in Milan, Italy. This role is ideal for a technically strong civil engineer with consultancy experience in complex site development projects, including industrial and data centre developments, who is ready to lead projects from concept through construction and handover.

Responsibilities
As a Senior Site Civil Engineer, your responsibilities include:
- Leading the design and coordination of site infrastructure works on multidisciplinary projects
- Acting as Project Lead and managing client relationships from feasibility to completion
- Developing site infrastructure designs through planning, permitting, and procurement stages
- Defining and coordinating site surveys and testing strategies
- Delivering technically robust solutions across surface water, foul water, roads, earthworks, and utilities
- Overseeing civil construction activities as part of the Clerk of Works team
- Managing internal and external design interfaces (architectural, structural, geotechnical, landscape, MEP)
- Driving digital delivery within a BIM and Common Data Environment (CDE)
- Utilizing Civil 3D, Revit, and related BIM tools for coordinated design production
- Supporting bid preparation, client presentations, and business development activities
- Mentoring and supporting the technical development of junior engineers
Requirements
The ideal candidate should meet the following essential requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of consultancy experience
- Chartered status or actively pursuing professional accreditation
- Strong technical expertise in drainage systems, energy infrastructure, roads, earthworks, electrical and fibre utilities
- Experience delivering drawings, specifications, and reports to programme and budget
- Knowledge of the Italian regulatory and planning framework
- Proven ability to manage civil engineering projects through planning and permitting processes
- Experience leading design from concept to detailed design and construction
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design interfaces
- Proficiency in BIM environments, including Civil 3D, Revit, and Navisworks
- Experience with hydraulic modelling software
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Desirable:
- Experience with industrial and/or data centre projects
- Passion for sustainable site development, including Green Infrastructure (GI) and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
