Responsibilities
Key responsibilities for the Boilermaker include:
- Completing daily boilermaking and welding activities according to maintenance plans
- Ensuring all work orders are completed to a consistently high standard in PRONTO
- Providing guidance and support to assistants and less experienced team members
- Participating in special projects as required
- Properly using parts and returning unused items to the warehouse for credit
- Cleaning, tagging, and maintaining all parts removed during repairs
- Returning tools to designated storage areas after use
- Maintaining clean and safe work areas and workshops
- Raising improvement opportunities with the Mechanical Supervisor or Maintenance & Engineering Manager
- Providing clear communication and feedback regarding job allocation, methods, and timelines
- Reporting concerns promptly to supervisors or management to support continuous improvement
Requirements
- Trade Certificate in Boilermaking/Welding
- WA C-Class Driver’s Licence
- Experience in fixed plant maintenance within a mining or processing plant environment
- Ability to work effectively in a team, especially in remote areas
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and professional standards
- Motivated, hardworking, and proactive attitude
