Responsibilities
As an Accounting Clerk, you will play an important role in supporting the finance team by ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Ensuring all invoices are approved according to company authority procedures.
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies quickly.
- Preparing and processing weekly or monthly payment runs.
- Responding to internal and supplier queries related to invoices and payments.
- Investigating and resolving payment disputes or issues.
- Supporting month-end and year-end financial reconciliation activities.
- Assisting with system upgrades, testing, and documentation of financial processes when required.
- Maintaining compliance with financial policies, statutory regulations, and internal controls.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Certificate IV, Diploma, or an equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
- Familiarity with accounting or ERP systems; experience with Pronto is desirable.
- Eligibility to work in Australia with appropriate work rights.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment checks, including medical and police verification.
