Responsibilities
The Finance Assistant supports the finance department in daily operations and financial control activities. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting day-to-day finance operations, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger reporting
- Handling hotel cash operations, bank reconciliations, credit card transactions, and city ledger accounts
- Assisting with monthly financial analysis, variance reports, budgeting, inventory checks, and month-end/year-end closings
- Supporting financial and tax audits, corporate reporting, and reimbursable invoicing
- Ensuring accurate revenue posting, billing, taxation, and reconciliation across PMS and POS systems
- Managing credit control processes, account setup, collections, and discrepancy follow-ups
- Maintaining organized financial records, vendor files, contracts, and accounting databases
- Assisting with purchase authorizations, inventory audits, and office administration
- Performing additional finance-related tasks as assigned by the Financial Controller
Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:
- High School Graduate, Master of Commerce, or BS in Accounting (preferred)
- 1–2 years of work experience in accounting, finance, or hotel/hospitality finance
- Previous experience in an accounting office or hospitality environment is an advantage
- Strong command of written and spoken English

- Ability to compile, analyze, and interpret financial facts and figures
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Strong communication and coordination skills

Desired Knowledge
Candidates with knowledge or experience in the following systems will be highly valued:
- Property Management Systems (PMS) such as Opera, RoomMaster, Protel, Visual One, or Delphi
- Accounting and finance systems such as Sun Finance, Oracle Finance, or SAP
- Basic understanding of hotel revenue, taxation, billing, and financial reconciliation processes
