Responsibilities
As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of network and computer systems. Key duties include:
- Maintaining and administering enterprise computer networks, systems software, and application configurations
- Performing regular data backups and managing disaster recovery processes
- Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, and network issues
- Configuring and monitoring applications, including security tools, email systems, and remote monitoring platforms
- Monitoring system and network performance to ensure high availability and reliability
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure and scalable solutions
- Supporting AI training initiatives by maintaining stable, high-performance infrastructure
Requirements
Candidates should possess strong technical expertise and the ability to manage complex IT environments. Requirements include:
- Proven experience with Amazon EC2, Blackboard software, ServiceNow, Apache Kafka, and Apache Maven
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, and Unix Shell
- Strong knowledge of Transact-SQL and database management
- Experience with monitoring and diagnostic tools such as Nagios, Quest Foglight, Wireshark, and remote monitoring software
- Hands-on experience administering Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments
- Familiarity with Apache Tomcat, Django, Microsoft ASP.NET, and Node.js
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong documentation practices
