Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium components using MIG and TIG welding techniques.
- Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, measuring, and marking according to specifications and blueprints.
- Operate and maintain welding equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
- Inspect welds to verify quality, dimensional accuracy, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Interpret technical drawings, work orders, and project requirements.
- Assemble fabricated metal parts and subassemblies with precision.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work completed and materials used.
- Collaborate with welders, fabricators, and engineers to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Handle and store finished products appropriately.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
- Troubleshoot welding or material preparation issues and maintain high workmanship standards.
- Perform additional duties as directed.
Requirements
- Trade Certificate in Welding or at least 3+ years of relevant welding experience.
- Strong expertise in fabricating various components, products, and structures.
- Thorough understanding of aluminium properties and welding characteristics.
- Sound knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
- Ability to supply and maintain personal commercial-grade tools (tool maintenance allowance included).
- Own reliable vehicle and hold a current driver’s license (manual preferred).
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform repetitive tasks in diverse working environments.
