Storekeeper Job Responsibilities

The Storekeeper supports warehouse operations while maintaining efficient inventory management and internal stock controls. Main responsibilities include:

  • Receiving, dispatching, and transferring goods accurately.
  • Verifying deliveries using approved transport and warehouse documents.
  • Maintaining accurate physical stock counts.
  • Preparing, validating, and managing warehouse and transport documentation.
  • Recording warehouse operational data and confidential files.
  • Producing reports on stock movement.
  • Performing daily warehouse stock reconciliation.
  • Conducting routine warehouse inspections.
  • Monitoring the quantity and quality of received and dispatched goods.
  • Identifying damaged goods and stock discrepancies.
  • Reporting warehouse losses and recommending corrective actions.
  • Applying approved quality control measures for food and non-food items.
  • Monitoring warehouse conditions and storage capacity.
  • Organizing warehouse space according to established standards.

Education and Experience Requirements
