Responsibilities
As a Welder at PERI, your key responsibilities include:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
- Setting up and operating MIG welding equipment
- Preparing materials by clamping, grinding, tack-welding, or bolting components
- Welding aluminum formwork and scaffolding parts of various sizes
- Inspecting welds to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with standards
- Repairing and troubleshooting welding equipment when required
- Using hand and power tools for assembly and repair tasks
- Conducting daily equipment inspections before starting work
- Maintaining accurate service and work logs
- Assisting with inventory and cycle count processes
- Following all Health & Safety regulations and company procedures
- Keeping the work area clean, organized, and safe
- Participating in safety meetings and maintaining best practices
Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates must have:
- Certified Welder Certificate (CW) or equivalent qualification
- 2–3 years of welding experience (MIG welding on aluminum preferred)
- Apprenticeship experience may also be considered
- Ability to read and understand blueprints with welding symbols
- Strong understanding of welding equipment setup and operation
- Knowledge of Health & Safety standards in industrial environments
- Experience in inspecting and troubleshooting welds and equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
