Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Mechanic I, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing manufacturing machinery and facility systems. Key duties include:
- Performing preventive maintenance such as changing coolants, lubricants, and filters according to schedule
- Carrying out general facility maintenance (lighting, painting, plumbing, and filter replacement)
- Inspecting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment using hand and power tools
- Assisting senior mechanics with complex repairs and troubleshooting tasks
- Ensuring cleanliness and organization of the work area
- Wearing and properly using required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Supporting safe and efficient plant operations
Requirements
To be eligible for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred (not mandatory)
- At least 1 year of relevant maintenance experience
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- Basic math, computer, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, plumbing, welding, pipefitting, or general maintenance
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment
